CDL Class A Tractor Trailer without Classroom Theory Course

Two and a half week (100 Hour) course of range and behind-the-wheel instruction for students who have completed the required classroom theory course through another provider. The course includes a minimum of eight (8) hours of behind-the-wheel driving on public roads. Student must provide proof of classroom theory instruction and a minimum score of 80% from another training provider to enroll.

CDL Class A Non-Tractor Trailer Pintle-Hook Course

Two week (80 Hour) course of classroom theory, range and behind-the-wheel instruction for students who wish to drive a pintle hook truck and trailer. The course includes a minimum of four (4) hours of behind-the-wheel driving on public roads. Note: Student supplies the pintle-hook truck and trailer plus fuel.

Two and a half day (20 Hour) course of range and behind-the-wheel instruction for students. The course includes a minimum of four (4) hours of behind-the-wheel driving on public roads. Note: Student supplies the pintle-hook truck and trailer plus fuel.

CDL A Weekend Class

8 weeks (160 hours) of practical training to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver License. The class hours are Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. The course provides a driver with knowledge of the Federal Motor Carriers regulations, proper record keeping, critical industry information and other important subjects which relate to the safety and legal operations of tractor trailers. Course content is guided by the J. J. Keller Truck Driving manual and exceeds the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles required 148 hours of training; to include, 50 hours of theory classroom instruction and test, 50 hours of range/yard instruction, 32 hours of observation and 16 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. The additional instructional hours (12 hrs.) will be distributed across the three topic areas depending on the student’s performance needs. A CDL Learners Permit is required prior to enrollment.
